Rachelle's Reading List

Rachelle's Reading List

Here's a list of some things I'm into this week:

I can not wait for the new Frida Kahlo show to open at the Brooklyn Museum next week.

Vintner's Daughter is unleashing their second-ever product in over five years and I'm excited to try it!

Another thing I'm dying to try, these Japanese steam eye masks (left), apparently heat up when you take them out of their packaging and put you right to sleep. They look so wacky but also really genius!

Net-A-Porter just launched a new children's wear portal and we are so happy to be included in the launch!

This week, Sean and I watched the documentary "Far from the Tree" based on the book by Andrew Solomon. You guys, it was beautiful.

I'm going nuts for this collaboration from Astier de Villatte and sculptor Serena Carone. They replace the typical mug handles with these amazing bejeweled rings! I'm dying! You can order from the John Derian shop by calling 212.677.3917.

I just bought this book, Mrs. Bridge, on the recommendation of author Meg Wolitzer, and I can't wait to read it!

I'm debating making this "this soup deserves an award" soup this weekend.

Our favorite children's author, Oliver Jeffers has a mega cool art installation up on the Highline right now - between 15th and 16th streets - and it's worth braving the weather to check it out! I'm such a fan of his - in person too!

Do I need these Mary Janes? - please oh please don't talk me out of them - they are bringing me so much joy! (BTW I have boots from this line and they are as comfortable as they are groovy!)

If you're into the inside baseball of the fashion industry, this historical designer flow chart by Minnie Muse is GENIUS! Pro tip - her Instagram stories are next level! You need to follow Colby Mugrabi if you're not already!

Ok, I love all three of these shows and their love of our city. I just caught the "Broad City" Season 5 opener and can not tell you how much I'm going to miss Abbi and Ilana!

Finally, in case no one's told you, it's cold out there. It's basically the only thing I can talk or think about. So, I loved this roundup of some amazing polar vortex tweets by NYMag:

You guys. That's a TOILET TANK of frozen water and pasta frozen mid-air!!! I'm speechless.
