Estelle and Sailor

Rachelle: What's something you love about your mom?

Sailor: Probably the way she, if something happens at school or something like that she'll be there for me, and she'll have, like, really good advice for me on what to do. And I also like how when I bring up those things she kinda has an attitude about it, and she's like, "Don't listen to them." Yeah, so that's what I love about my mom.

Rachelle: What's your favorite thing about being a mom?

Estelle: My favorite thing about being a mom is just watching this whole other life that is very different to my life, this whole other personality blossom. And I learn every day from her, and figuring out how to shape what's best for her and not what's best for me has been incredible learning curve. And it's just wonderful to bring this light into the world.

Rachelle: Can you explain the messaging you have on your sweaters?

Estelle: Sure. I think motherhood and mothering is the most precious gift and the most powerful gift that we get to, to be mothers. Even those that aren't mothers, the act of mothering is extremely just profound, and something I think we should all take a lot more seriously in business and in pleasure. The act of loving and mothering means the world to me. It's my approach to life and everything.

So I am a "mother lover." And not the opposite... a mother... You know? And then Sailor's, she has Nana's love on her heart. Do you wanna explain what that is?

Sailor: Yeah, so my nana was, like, she, she passed away when I was really little. I think I was about, like, five-

Estelle: Yeah

Sailor: And it was really tough, but I did love her so much, and I think I still remember little moments at her house. And I used to write her these little letters up to her room when she was sick and I would give them to her. So yeah, I really, I just really miss her, but she's always here for me.

Estelle: She's always there in your heart.

Sailor: Yeah, she's always there for me.

Rachelle: Sailor, what do you do that makes your mom laugh?

Sailor: Probably, like, teasing her about something she does, like the eyebrow thing, where she's like... Like, doing that, or just, like, for some... Just, like, if she does something and I'll mock her for it, and she'll be like, "Ugh, sorry."

Estelle: It does make me laugh. You're pretty funny. Sailor's hilarious. She's always doing impressions or goes really wild and crazy, and it's hilarious. She makes me laugh a lot.
