What woman in your life has been the greatest source of inspiration to you? My second grade teacher Ms. Abrams - she help me find my voice and the strength in my voice.
When do you feel like the strongest version of yourself? When I’m singing! For me to be on stage its taken years of purpose, strength, support and now - when I sing - I feel my most powerful. Also - when I’m with my family.
How do you hope to inspire the next generation of women? I work hard to ensure the next generation of women are not ashamed that they bleed! Menstrual health hygiene is largely ignored in both the east and the west. Let’s speak loudly about our health and our power.
If you could spend an afternoon with any woman past or present — who would it be and what would you ask them? My great grandmother - we met when I was a child - but I wish I could learn from her. She was a women ahead of her time and I wish I had her strength, direction and love.
