We partnered with PEN America in time for Banned Books Week to promote their research and advocacy for the freedom to read. PEN America is leading the fight against book bans and educational censorship in schools across the country, and has documented nearly 6,000 book bans since it began tracking in 2021.

10% of proceeds from each sweater purchased will be donated to PEN America. PEN stands at the intersection of literature and human rights to protect open expression in the US and worldwide. They work tirelessly to prevent books like Blume’s from being banned so that young people can continue to explore critical adolescent experiences and issues by way of books.

Lingua Franca embroiderers use their best discretion when stitching to ensure each piece meets our high standards and well-known style. This may also result in unique variations in the look, size, and placement of embroidery.

Returns and/or exchanges are accepted within 14 days of receipt of items. Returned items must be unworn/unused with tags and in their original packaging. Refunds will be issued in the original form of payment or as store credit.
