MEET:

Natasha, Maya, Dasha and Stas

Natasha Poniatowski is an entrepreneur and the founder and CEO of Laroot World, a New York–based culinary wellness company. A mother of three, Maya (12, who couldn’t make the shoot), Dasha (10), and Stas (who turned 6 the day of the shoot!), she has built Laroot into a true destination for thoughtfully crafted meals that bring together nutrition, wellness science, and real flavor.

Her work is rooted in a holistic approach to wellbeing, drawing on insights from Ayurvedic, traditional Chinese, and Western medicine, with a mission to make nourishing food feel both accessible and joyful. Natasha is also a sought-after voice at the intersection of food, wellness, and entrepreneurship, often speaking on everything from nutrition innovation to sustainable culinary practices.

And somehow, she does it all with incredible style. She’s as fashionable as she is thoughtful, bringing a sense of intention and ease to everything she touches.

Rachelle: Can you guys explain what you had embroidered on your sweaters?

Stas: Karate Kid!

Dasha: I have something that says "rockstar" because I love singing, and I do plenty of shows. And I guess my mom just calls me a rockstar.

Natasha: And I have "LaRoot World," which is my company, a food is medicine business that I love very much. And I'm so happy to have something that has its name on it!

Rachelle: What's one thing being a mom has taught you?

Natasha: Patience.

Rachelle: What's your favorite New York activity?

Stas: Doing karate.

Dasha: I like going to American Dream Mall 'cause there's a water park, an attraction park, and plenty of shops to go to.

Natasha: My favorite New York activity is to just walk around and, and watch the beautiful city and to eat in good restaurants.

Rachelle: What's one thing you guys do that makes your mom laugh?

Dasha: Make jokes or dance funny.

Stas: Sing Hakuna Matata, Hakuna Bananas.

Natasha: Hakuna-

Dasha: Also to be very excited sometimes.

Rachelle: What is your five-minute escape fantasy?

Natasha: Oh, that's very easy

Natasha: And actually, that is my life hack as well. Go to get a coffee by myself. Ideally, to my favorite coffee shop and just, you know, relax and take that coffee without a rush.

Stas: ...my favorite thing is going secretly at night to open presents from Santa Claus.
