LF x The Bowery Hotel

The oldest thoroughfare in Manhattan, The Bowery has for centuries marched to its own tune while attracting some of New York's most colorful characters. Twenty years ago, living on The Bowery as a young transplant to New York City, my soul was immediately touched by the legendary street, moved by countless others before me: the Five Points Gang of the 19th century, the CBGB punks of the 20th century, the fashionistas of the 21st century to name just a few.

It is an honor to present Lingua Franca's first fashion show, which takes inspiration from The Bowery Hotel—a NYC landmark steeped in the history of this iconic street and lovingly designed by my husband, Sean MacPherson. The hotel’s interiors informed many details of this collection, from tassels and tapestries to delicate doilies and old-world art. The Bowery’s renegade spirit is woven throughout, and the line is brought to life by the property's playful mythology and its cast of puckish characters, like Bo the Bowery Bear and Mose the Bowery Boy.

The Bowery Hotel is a venue of constant movement, where chance encounters remind us that our destinies are unknown. Depending on one’s state of mind, the lobby can feel like a refuge from a chaotic city or a romantic launch pad to a new adventure. Lingua Franca’s Fall 25 collection aims to channel that energy—rooted in quiet rebellion, woven with purpose, and designed to spark joy and inspiration for all who pass through.
