My grandma Rita (right with my father) lived in rural Nebraska. She birthed and mothered 13 children. She was the most imaginative and creative person I ever met. She taught me how to sew. She taught me how to dream. In her very small kitchen she, no doubt, had to create magical feats. Not least of them was designing the walls that would inspire her during the countless hours of her life she would spend inside of them...

With only means to afford two colors of paint, but a limitless imagination, she set off to create walls of beauty - walls that would, at the very least, make one smile. I love that she chose bright yellow and bright green - subtle she was not! I'm beyond excited to present her artwork as wallpaper today. It was all done freehand!
