1 in 4 women have had an abortion in this country. The majority of women in states that will see abortions banned will be those who can’t easily travel to get the medical assistance they need elsewhere. These women already live in communities that have been historically (and are currently) underserved, mistreated, and underrepresented. The majority of them already have one or more children. Most Americans believe abortion should be legal. As of May 2021, Gallup polls show 80% of Americans support legal abortion in all or most cases.
