What woman in your life has been the greatest source of inspiration to you? My mother.

When do you feel like the strongest version of yourself? When I am speaking on a panel or meeting with parents about education justice and how we can organize to attain #EducationforLiberation.

How do you hope to inspire the next generation of women? Through my ongoing advocacy for education justice by sharing my journey as a Black, Muslim Woman in this struggle to get FREE, while also being a mother to eight amazing children. We don’t have to do it alone… We must love and support each other.

If you could spend an afternoon with any woman past or present — who would it be and what would you ask them? Assata Shakur - I believe she has so much to offer. “With all of the reflection you must have done after all of the years as a Black Panther, what advice do you have for Black women to move the movement while also caring for each other?”
