LF x Emporio Sirenuse
"Positano bites deep. It is a dream place that isn’t quite real when you are there and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone." – John Steinbeck
Steinbeck wrote the above words in the May 1953 issue of Harper's Bazaar, to describe the beauty and magic of Positano, a village nestled in Italy's Amalfi Coast. One very beloved feature of this seaside dreamland is Le Sirenuse, a beyond beautiful hotel run by my dear friend Carla Sersale and her husband, Antonio. A woman of endless talents, Carla is also behind the super chic Emporio Sirenuse.
Carla has played such a generous and chic host to us at her summer dreamland in Posi, it was an absolute delight and honor to get to play host to her at our summer dreamland in Montauk! We had a marvelously fun dinner at the Crow's Nest with friends, new and old. See the coverage from Vogue here, and party pics here.
Everything Carla does it with thoughtfulness and attention to detail. I am in awe of the quality and craftsmanship of her pieces - her wovens are handmade on traditional wooden hand looms! Italians really do do it better - and Carla is the perfect example of this. xo Rachelle
