SUFFS X Lingua Franca

It’s 1913 and the Women’s Movement is taking shape in America, anchored by suffragists – "Suffs," as they call themselves – and their pursuit of the right to vote. SUFFS is the new musical that tells their story. From the singular mind of Shaina Taub and produced by Hillary Rodham Clinton and Malala Yousafzai, SUFFS explores the victories and failures of a struggle for equality that’s far from over. Now on Broadway at the Music Box Theatre.

Lingua Franca has partnered with SUFFS to launch a capsule collection of sustainably sourced and hand-embroidered cashmere sweaters, with 10% of all proceeds benefiting When We All Vote, a leading national, nonpartisan initiative on a mission to change the culture around voting and to increase participation in each and every election by helping to close the race and age gap. Created by Michelle Obama, When We All Vote brings together individuals, institutions, brands, and organizations to register new voters across the country and advance civic education for the entire family and voters of every age to build an informed and engaged electorate for today and generations to come. They empower their supporters and volunteers to take action through voting, advocating for their rights, and holding their elected officials accountable.

The collection includes three sweaters embroidered with phrases from the show: “keep marching,” “it’s suffrag-ist, not suffra-gette,”and “finish the fight.”
